The Wounded Heart Allender, Dr. Dan B. |
This book has been unhelpful to some group members, comments include...'dangerously guilt provoking', 'focuses on religious expectations rather than personal healing', 'extremely damaging'. |

Courage to Heal Bass, Ellen and Laura Davis |
A very helpful book covering a wide range of the issues faced by survivors of sexual abuse. It is easy to dip in and out when looking at specific issues. |

Amongst Ourselves Tracy Alderman and Karen Marshall |
An extremely useful and encouraging book, expecially for those recently diagnosed with dissociative disorders. Easy to read and the sort of book where you can just look at the areas relevant to you. Recommended. |
| The dissociative identity
disorder sourcebook. Deborah Bray Haddock |
This book looks at Dissociative Identity Disorder from a variety of view points including the survivor, carer, therapist. It is interesting and infomative though a bit technical at times. That would be useful though for survivors who are on their way to healing and therapists. Recommended. |
| The Stranger in the Mirror
Dissociation the hidden epidemic. Marlene Steinburg and Maxine Schnall |
An emotive read for those recently diagnosed with DID. Deals with the journeys of healing for survivors with DID. Good to read but follows a specific mode for healing which may not be applicable for every survivor. |
