Issues for survivors of sexual abuse may include the following;

  • depression
  • panic attacks
  • severe anxiety
  • eating disorders
  • self-harm

It may be that you are already working through one or more of these difficulties. Our site is written by survivors who are already walking the pathway of healing. If you have found a book, piece of music, other websites etc useful you can share them with survivors here. There is also a place to read other survivor's stories and the opportunity to put your story on the site. Sharing with each other encourages and validates healing. Please see links below to enter these areas.

Healing from the effects of sexual abuse means remembering and feeling the pain of what happened. Healing involves different stages that need to be worked through, denial, grief and anger are examples. Reading self help books on the subject can be useful as can other survivors writings and artwork. Please see links below to access these pages.
