The guidelines are set up to ensure
safety for all site users. They are an extension of the guidelines that
are used in S.A.S. group meetings.

Site Moderating

A moderating
group exists to ensure safety for site users.
- This
group will oversee the site and be responsible for answering emails.

The moderating
group will have the final decision about what is published on the
site and will remove any posts on the notice board if they do
not meet the guidelines.
- The
moderators are not counsellors, anyone requiring more support than
we can offer will be directed to other services.

Site Guidelines

Everything
published on this website will be required to fit the criteria of
the site guidelines, including posts added to the noticeboard.

Requests for anonymity will
be respected.
- Art
work, writing, jokes, posts and emails should not contain detailed
graphic imagery/description that may be triggering to other
survivors.

Anything considered prejudiced will not be allowed on the site. This
includes prejudice of nationality, gender, belief systems, age etc.
- It is
acceptable to refer to thoughts or past experience of attempted
suicide or self-harm in a non-graphic way. It is not ok to make
threats of self-harm or suicide on this site.
- The moderating group
reserves the right to block any member who persistently ignores
warnings about email content.

Religious beliefs are to be kept personal and not imposed on others.
